A little funny story...

So Zach's doing his Psych rotation at this new hospital, but apparently they're not too bright because they told the students that if it snowed they didn't want the students to come in, their safety was number one priority. Well needless to say, the other day the students all decided to take advantage of this and band together to have a snow day when it snowed last week(to be fair to the slackers, there was freezing rain in the forecast and that spells big-time trouble here on the East Coast)! As a side note: Zach would normally do everything in his power to get to the hospital because he actually normally loves what he's doing. But he's not particularly fond of Psych, he, in fact, HATES Psych. So he was all in favor of skipping a day and making this rotation seem shorter. Anyway, moving on, that day Zach and I decided to head out to do something(can't remember what now) when there was a break in the snow. Zach went out ahead of me to clean off the car so Aubrey and I, the princesses that we are, could dive right into the car and not be subjected to the cold. Once we were off it started to snow again so we had the windshield wipers going at full speed. We were stopped at a light and by that time our car had sufficiently warmed up and we noticed that the snow was melting off the roof and sliding in little chunks onto the windshield. We thought this was a little humorous... until the chunks got bigger and bigger and the windshield wipers were working overtime to try and get rid of the snow(keep in mind that we are still sitting at said light). Suddenly the wipers gave out and the entire contents of snow on the top of our car slowly slid onto out windshield and the lights went out. The wipers would not work for anything, there was a giant lineup of cars behind us. Now in Canada one would maybe have one annoyed driver behind them that might honk after a few minutes of waiting, but not in New Jersey. This is a State of honkers, honkers that honk only after mere seconds of waiting and sometimes without waiting at all. So naturally Zach and I panicked! We were trying to figure out what to do, should I get out and scrape it off? Should I hang my head out and wipe it off with my hand?... And that was when the traffic light turned green. More panic. Zach yelled at me to hang my head out the window and direct him in turning right at the lights(not where we intended on going but the only option at that point, seeing at to how I was the only one who could see) the whole time reminding me that he had no idea where he was going and that he was trusting me... no pressure! So amid honks we, slowly, made it to safety and vowed to always scrape the snow off the roof of the car.
