An Actual Update...

So Sunday was Zach's first Father's Day and he took a couple hours off of reading to spend time with Aubrey and myself. Wow, I just made it sound like he never does that, but he does... seriously, he's around way more then in Grenada!! Anyway, It was a great day. Aubrey got him his favorite thing, a gift card to Barnes and Noble. You can never go wrong with giving books, or money towards books to Zach... smart girl has that figured out already:) We also decided to take a walk to our local Starbucks, which is about a fifteen minute walk from here. The walk there and back is so great, we pass so many gorgeous houses and trees (yes trees, we love a good hundred year, or more, old tree. There is just something so amazing about a huge old tree...), it's unbelievable! Zach and I are really loving where we live, it is just so picturesque. New Jersey gets a really bad rap, but it has so much to offer.
We have not been into the city since Tom, Marcy, Meg and Ryan left and that just makes me sad:( We are planning on going not this weekend, Zach's on call on Saturday which writes off the entire thing, but the next and I can't wait. I LOVE Manhattan, it is so amazing. There is this point whilst driving on the Garden State Parkway (one of the main highways) where you come around a corner and suddenly you see the Manhattan skyline and it always sets my heart racing and makes me smile! What I would give to live there...
Aubrey is doing good, she was 7 weeks this monday and still growing like a weed! She is getting pretty heavy when I carry her around and it just makes me curious to see how much she weighs. We need to buy a kitchen scale or something to weigh her in, we are not able to go to the doctor for random reasons with our medical that we have here, so I need to think of other ways to do things:) She is healthy as can be, but has a nasty heat-rash that she got these past weeks from all the humid heat waves we've been getting. She is sleeping better now, last night she was out from 9:45 until 5:30am!! I felt pretty human again after that one. She has had a few rough nights... well actually she's been fine, it's me that is having the rough nights!! She was waking up for about an hour and a half to two hours, a few nights in a row there and she was just wanting to hang out. No crying or anything(well, not her anyway:)) and then she would go back to sleep as though it were the middle of the day! She is awake a lot during the day and now that I have a bouncy seat and a Boppy pillow, it's easier to entertain her. She is getting more used to not being held all the time and learning how to be content in a seat. This all equals a lot more time for me to actually get something accomplished during the day and when Zach comes home and asks about my day, I can actually talk about something!
Well, I've rambled enough here, I should get to the pictures:) Oh, Zach is doing great in the hospital, he is loving having more hands on work and feels like he is actually useful (well, depending on the Doctor he is working under and how much that person lets him do). There still are a few rough days where he feels as though he is just wandering around, or in the way, but they are outweighed by the good ones. Anyway... pictures...

Daily life in NJ

I know that I said that I would write more this time, but I'm just waaaay too tired to do that right now:) I hope you'll all forgive me... Anyway, the shot with the stethoscope is of Aubrey at 6 weeks and all the random outside shots are of our neighborhood. The yellow house is the one we live in(on the middle floor). Hope you enjoy...

Mega Picture Post

The shot of Aubrey with the Stethoscope is when she is 4 weeks old and every other shot is when she is five weeks and up. I'll try and update more often now... easier said then done:) Anyway, she's doing great and growing like a weed! More updates to come...
